Critical Magick

Critical Magick is a home for essays of cultural analysis & thought exploration. My analyses are most often of popular culture objects—I believe that culture and collective healing are deeply intertwined.

Entertainment influences our individual and collective consciousness. It plants seeds, suggesting ways of seeing, being, and relating. The purpose of healing is to do those things with clarity, alignment, and integrity.

About

Magick is not where logic ends. Critical thinking is a psychic ability—with it, we see far beyond what’s in plain sight. It crosses space and time for the sake of truth and understanding, and the presence of those two things in our lives always creates magick.

Through Critical Magick, I hope to aid in the expansion of thinking and healing. I hope that our softer parts feel seen and stood up for. I hope the reader feels empowered to navigate culture intentionally. I hope they find themselves awakening to the magick within them, the collective, and the culture we create.
